Wonders of LEH-LADAKH

The incredible Ladakh, sometimes also called as “Moon Land and The Little Tibet” is nestled as sandwich between the Karakoram Range and the Himalayan Range on an average altitude of 3500 mts, some peaks of snow clad mountains reaches to a height of approx 7000 mts. The region lies under the two districts of northern state of India, Jammu and Kashmir; Kargil and Leh where as Leh is the largest district and least populated in the state. This arid and deserted dainty ladakh is adorned with the spectacular natural beauty all around, magnificent landscapes, enchanting Buddhist monasteries, glittering lakes, misty White Mountains and wavering colorful prayer flags spreading spiritualism and peace all over the region. How to reach?

Because of its high altitude and unlike weather conditions the tourism in ladakh starts from April to October. Ladakh can be reachable via two motorable routes (via Kashmir and Manali). Kashmir route is safer than Manali because of its steep inclinations and narrow roads.

Air route is the other mode which is easier and less time consumable.  There are daily flights from New Delhi to Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport at Leh.

There is no Rail connectivity to Ladakh, one can reach up to Jammu and then proceed further by hiring Taxi’s or public transport.

Reaching ladakh is an amazing experience itself, the roads heading towards ladakh are graced with many beautiful places like Srinagar, Kashmir, Manali, Spiti valley and embellished with many Passes. Visit to picturesque ladakh is worth at least once in lifetime.
