Agra city is well renowned for its fortress and many historical masterpieces, it was a capital of Mughal sultanate, now it attracts tourists from all over the world, one of the Seven Wonders of the World “Taj Mahal” is also stands here with its glory and reflecting pride for the city. LAL QUILA, FORT ROUGE, RED FORT OF AGRA Served both The Royal Residence and Military Sub Base, with its unique architects it is the most symbolic edifice of the Mughals. Agra Fort was built by third Mughal emperor Akbar in Red Sandstone when he was through with the consolidation of his power after accession to power in 1654. The 380,000-square-metre (94-acre) fort has a semicircular plan, the walls are seventy feet high and lies parallel to the river. The fort incorporates magnificent palaces both in red sandstone and white marble built by two generations of prolific builders Akbar and later Jehangir and Shahjahan. The fort has four gates, Khizri gate opening on to the river, Lahore Gate is also known as ‘Amar Singh Gate’ and the most popular Delhi Gate which faces towards the city and the biggest from all.

There are some hypnotic edifices in the fort which create curiosity among the scholars and historians.

Sheesh Mahal - Literally meaning 'Glass Palace' it was the royal dressing room embellished by tiny mirror-like glass-mosaic decorations on the walls.

The Diwan-i-Am - The Place where aristocrats and public meets for the discussions at the time of Mughals.

Diwan-i-Khas - A hall of private audience, it was used to welcome kings and dignitaries.

The Anguri Bagh - It houses 85 square, geometrically arranged lush gardens.

Khas Mahal - An impeccable white marble palace.

Mina Masjid - Literally meaning 'Heavenly Mosque' it is a tiny mosque closed to the public.

Nagina Masjid - Literally meaning 'Gem Mosque' it was designed exclusively for the ladies of the court.

Musamman Burj - A large, octagonal tower with a balcony facing the Taj Mahal.

HOW TO REACH?

AGRA lies on the golden triangle of tourist circuit thus it is very well connected with all major cities and also have alternatives of Railways and Airways. Agra is at just 235 kms from Delhi and Yamuna express way is the fastest route to Agra. UP government Transport AC buses runs frequently from Noida city center. Some trains running to Agra in morning are Chhattisgarh express, Punjab Mail, UA Toofan express, Mangla express and Jhelum express.
